Enrollment in a therapeutic boarding school may relieve students of bullying problems
By Staff Writer
According to the Department of Health and Human Services, bullying occurs in a variety of institutions, regardless of the age or income level of its students. As the issue becomes more prevalent, it is important for parents to help their children if they suspect that they are being bullied. The source suggests that adults tell their youths that the problem is not their fault and show sympathy for them. Parents can also work with the student's school to find a potential solution. If this does not work, parents can research a therapeutic boarding school. Regardless of the solution, it is important for adults to end bullying issues before they become a more serious problem. In Wisconsin, police are currently investigating a teen who covered himself in gasoline at a local high school because he had been bullied by other students, according to The Reporter. While the youth said he did not intend to kill himself, he wanted to make a point about how he was affected by his classmates. The boy had the intention of lighting himself on fire, but was unable to as other students smelled the gasoline and stopped him before he had the chance to light a match, according to the media outlet.
