![]() Aspen offers a number of different therapeutic programs for children, teens, and young adults. Here are some of the types of programs families and professionals can choose from and a general description of the what each of these types of programs does: ASPEN EMOTIONAL GROWTH SCHOOL™ ASPEN THERAPEUTIC BOARDING SCHOOL™ A therapeutic boarding school offers both a rigorous academic environment and a therapeutic environment. Students get individual and group therapy to work through any emotional or behavioral issues that have interfered with their success. These students may be failing in school due to undiagnosed learning differences or emotional issues. They may be experimenting with alcohol or other drugs. Many of these students do not do well in a traditional boarding school environment as they need therapeutic support to deal with such issues as anger, frustration, grief & loss, adoption/identity issues, abuse, low self-esteem, or negative behaviors that have led to poor performance in school and/or caused chaos in the home. 360° EDUCATION™ What is a 360° education? It's an education that includes academics, creative development, personal growth, and physical health. It's about educating the WHOLE child. All of Aspen's programs strive to educate the whole child - we go beyond the typical outward expressions of success with the goal of helping your child succeed in all aspects of his or her life - emotional, social, academic, physical, and behavioral. WHOLE CHILD LEARNING™ Whole child learning is an approach to teaching that takes into consideration your child's individual strengths. Some children are visual learners, some auditory learners. This methodology allows us to help children achieve who may have been "left behind" in the typical educational environment., such as children with learning differences, ADHD, Asperger's syndrome, or non-verbal learning disorders.
